The first "hike" of most trips to Estes starts with the Alluvial Fan. It's the sight of the major dam break and subsequent flooding of Estes Park in 1985.

Skipping rocks again
After becoming a Jr Ranger again, this time in Rocky Mountain National Park. It's a great program that really gets kids learning and listening in the Nat'l Parks to what they are seeing and doing. They learn how to protect the Parks and how to stay safe themselves. Evan did a great job as most of the information is for kids a year or two older, but he was right there with all of it. Another badge, he was proud!
