This is now what I hear whenever Jeff drives into the driveway as Evan runs out the back door to greet Jeff at his car. Evan has made the full transition to a daddy's boy. He loves his daddy so much and can't wait until he gets home. If you ask him how long daddy should work, he will answer "2 minutes." As soon as Jeff walks through the door I am almost invisible. If I answer a question he asks or help with something I hear, "no Mommy, I was talking to Daddy, not you." Oh...sorry. Although at times I feel a little slighted - it pales in comparison to watching their relationship grow. Jeff has always been such a great dad and this just confirms that. Evan watches his dad, wants to be like his dad and wants to be everywhere he is at. After I put him in bed tonight he asked, "Mommy, can Daddy come in now and lay down with me for 10 mintues?" (he always asks for a specific time although he doesn't really know how long that is). A few minutes later I hear singing and laughing coming from his room...they are so much fun together. What an incredible example of a man Evan has in his Dad. I am blessed to have him in my life too.

Abbie 2 months Stats
10.5 lbs and 22.5 inches. She hangs in the 60%. It's funny to look at pictures of our "greater than 95%" son at 2 months and then Abbie...what a difference! The love/hate relationship with vaccinations has begun. Evan breezed through all of his, Abbie did great, but had a rough day afterwards. Poor girl, she looked so sad for a little while. But as is in her nature already, she'd still give me that wonderful smile of her's as often as she could muster. Such a sweet girl already.

Abbie at 2 Months
Abbie is 2 Months old! She is at such a fun age to watch, changing every day. She loves to smile and chat. She is very social and will smile and chat for just about anyone willing to start a conversation with her - I just may have another extravert on my hands - I am soooo outnumbered here. She has big, bright eyes like her brother that light up when she smiles. She continues to play on her play-gym and is starting to catch on that if she swings her arm she just may hit something and there just may be music. It's fun to watch her face when it happens. Her 2 month check up is Monday so we'll see how much she's grown...but I am guessing a lot!

The Dentist
It's nice when going to visit the Dentist also means you are visiting your Grandaddy. Evan had his first teeth cleaning while we were at my parent's. The Hygienist, Corine, who worked on him was awesome with him. She had him right in there helping her hold things and gave him a lot of control over his time there. He was a pro and had a lot of fun playing Dentist afterwards. The Dentist says his teeth look great. :)

Visiting Friends
We drove through San Antonio on our way to my parent's house. A great friend lives nearby, so we got the awesome chance to spend part of a day with them. Her oldest daughter is 2.5 months younger than Evan and her younger daughter is 2.5 weeks younger than Abbie. It was so fun to see them and to meet the newest member of the family.

Evan and Abbie Playing
Abbie was playing under her play gym the other day and Evan decided to join her. She has become quite interactive the last few weeks and so she and Evan actually "played" together. Evan showed her how things worked and she responded to him - it was so fun to watch. I am loving watching them and know that I will love watching their relationship grow.

First Smiles
Abbie's been smiling for us for a few days now, but today was the first day of a "Smile Fest" and I actually had the camera nearby. Evan was playing his piano and singing in the background so I don't know if it was me or him she was smiling at!
