We got this on clearence last year and just "re-found" it. Evan loved it, you basically just hook it up to the hose, blow up a few things and go. It's great!

Evan's 1st Haircut

Evan got his first haircut today! The back was beginning to look like he had a mullet and the sides were growing over his ears...so we thought it was time. He did a great job! Here he is with Carrol - his "stylist."

Evan is learning to drink from a cup and loves it. The only downside is that he wants EVERYTHING Jeff and I have.

Evan's New "Thing"

Evan has started putting things over his eyes and then navigating the living room. Here he uses a hat to cover his eyes and walked around the coffee table...no, he can't see, he uses his hands to pat his way around. Other times he uses a dishrag and will just take off crawling, not caring what he runs into. Then he lifts the "blindfold" to see where he ended up, he thinks it's great. We think it's quite creative.

Evan's friends Jackson and Belle came to the party. Jackson is showing Evan how to use his new Peekaboo book that they gave him. Evan is a true book worm bringing me books to read to him all day, so he loved it.

The party is over, I've slept for about 2 1/2 hours and now it's time to head back home to Dallas. What a great trip!

Swimming

We took Evan in for his 1 year check up - he did great but had to get 4 shots - they hit every limb - 1 for each leg and each arm. From there we went to the pool to meet up with Granddaddy, Lela, Aunt Robyn, Uncle Peter and cousins Paige, Brayden and Wendi. Evan is truly a water lover and was even putting his face in the water some - maybe we should have named him Rowdy Gaines!

Evan has this cool "boat" that's mostly mesh so he can splash and blow bubbles and be mostly in the water. Brayden and Wendi can't wait to pull Evan around the pool.

The "I'm really done" Look

Evan waves both hands when he's done, usually I try for another bite or two just to see. This time, yogurt. When he is really done, I get this look - eyes and face squished up and he kind of shakes his head. Thanks to my sister for getting this shot.
