Halloween Festival #2

We host a Fall Fun Festival each year as an outreach event. This year was the biggest and best we've ever done. I don't know how many people were there but it was incredible. Everything is free, from food to games to bounce houses. This year we had an inflatable laser tag and a Euro Bungee (pics of Evan jumping below). It was basically a mini State Fair with a Midway, cotton candy, sno cones and even a Snake Guy/Magician combo show. (didn't see that so I am not sure how that worked out).
I get a little overwhelmed at things like this - large crowds are not my thing - but Evan loved every second of it. At one point he had a sno cone in one hand and cotton candy in the other in full grin (sad to have missed that picture). This was after I insisted on "real" food of a hotdog. It was crazy fun for sure!

Jeff and I went as Evan's Pit Crew

Let the fun begin!

He went through this obstacle course no less than 15 times...he was sweating and loving
every minute!

He almost melted down at the thought of not getting to swing the big hammer...
so they did it together. Thanks Erin for being a good sport and cheering him on!

Just getting started

Higher...

And then the guy asked him if he wanted to go higher...ummmm...did he have to even ask? My camera just wasn't responding fast enough in the dark, but his feet were way over our heads and he was in heaven.
There was more but we parted company for me to take a very tired Abbie home and I ended up with the camera...oh, and Evan's shoes...oops. :)
I can't wait to hear how many showed up and the ensuing outreach opportunities! I am so grateful for all the volunteers that worked the games with smiles, patience and encouragement.

Love

These two really love each other...I mean really. She watches everything he does and is always smiling at him. He can't go through a room she is in without stopping to play with her. I think he was on his way to get his shoes in this picture. You can't tell but she is holding his hand down and reaching for his face. I love how they love each other.

Abbie is 5 Months Old!

Our little girl is growing up and changing so fast. She is probably the happiest baby girl we've met and loves to laugh. She will also definitly let you know when she needs or wants something however.
She is rolling for mobility now and loves that she can get to things she wants to grab onto. She literally shakes with excitement when she's having fun. Abbie continues to love Evan playing with her and he is so sweet to her. If she's fussy and I can't get to her right away, he's there next to her talking to her and patting her and even singing to her.
She is at a really fun stage right now doing new things almost every day. We are blessed to have her in our lives.

Not To Be Left Out....

It went something like this (bringing my camera to me):

E: Mom, now take my picture in my "Built for speed" cozys." (he calls his pjs cozys) "oh and mom? Make sure I'm laughing." (fake, silly laughing begins)

M: Sure!

4 Month Stats

Our baby girl is already old enough for the Excersaucer!! Not sure how many kids this one's been through as it was purchased at a garage sale by my cousin, used with her kids and then passed along to us. Pretty sturdy since it says it was manufactured in 2001 and is on it's 5th kid at the least. However this just might be the last kid...it's starting to show it's age.
She took to it right away and has enjoyed some time playing there every day.
4 Month Stats from the dr visit:
25.75 inches (95%) - that's our gal!
13lbs (45%)
head is 75%
A healthy and happy girl!
