Horseback Riding

This afternoon we had the opportunity go to horseback riding with some new friends. We had a such a great time riding and grilling and just hanging out. The kids had a blast and Evan was so excited to have 2 older boys to play with!

Drums...

Jeff's drum set from when he was younger has finally made it's reappearance from the attic. Evan has been almost begging for it and although we had been thinking maybe when he was 5...or at least for Christmas...apparently Christmas was on the 25th of September this year! Evan is loving it so much and we are happy that we didn't wait. He can just play (note headphones as it's electric) or we can hook up an ipod to it and he can play along with music. It's the first thing he asks to do in the morning and the last thing he talks about at night.

Abbie's First Day of School

Abbie has started school. She goes 1 day a week so that I can go back to work a little bit. She missed the first week because she was sick. She was excited to be going to school where Evan was and did really great for her first day. She cried for about 2 minutes at drop off and then they said she played and had fun. She even got to see Evan at one point when she was on a stroller ride and he was on the playground. Apparently they both waved and did great with it. We are so proud of her! She doesn't have her own lunch bag so she is using mine for right now.

First Day of PreK 4s!

Evan's first day of PreK 4s. I can't believe that this is our last year of Preschool with Evan. Next year "they" will have him 35 hours a week...I'm not ready to think about that yet! So onto PreK 4s. He was really excited for school to start and to see his friends. It was raining so we didn't get many "1st day" type pictures and as usual he was his silly self. He is having a great year and has a wonderful teacher.

Summer at the Pool

We had such a great summer at the pool this year. Evan, Abbie and I were there at least 3 times a week - sometimes twice in one day if we just need to get out for an hour. Jeff joined us on many Fridays which was really fun. Evan became more confident in the water and discovered Ring Pops; it was love at first sight for him. Abbie is quite the fish but does not yet like the "confinement" of a float. She loves adventure and the slide was a favorite. They played music all summer so she would dance her way down the slide, hit the water and say "more, more!"

Abbie Loves Yogurt

As usual I am pretty far behind on posting so I am going to try to catch up. Abbie is our independent, do it herself girl which includes feeding herself yogurt...and everything else. She does a pretty good job and is very proud of herself as you can see. The lighting is funny on these pictures but it's because my kitchen is still 80's peach. =)
