This Past Week

Tummy Time!!

Jeff's been gone this week...out of touch even...we've gotten to talk to him for a total of 14 minutes from Sunday at 1pm until tomorrow (Saturday) night...that's tough. We have done remarkably well though and have been looked after quite well by so many friends...not expected and quite humbling.

This week has also come with some growth (both emotionally for me and physcially for the kids) and some firsts. Evan has put himself down for a nap the last 3 days (he hasn't napped more than 4 times in 2 months!); he must be growing. Abbie has found her feet and her belly laugh. She's been giggling, but Evan got the first true belly laugh out of her. Now, if you are surprised it was Evan...you don't know him well enough. We knew Evan would get the first real laugh out of her. He is so funny and loves to be funny. His favorite joke to tell right now? "When a clock gets hungry it goes back four seconds." We read that somewhere and he's rememered it and tells it a lot. I am not even sure he gets it, but he laughs every time. To get Abbie to laugh - well, if you are a Dolfin Swim alum you will get it, if not...think swimming/breastroke kick...he had her feet and while moving them he said "bend...split...whip straight" over and over they both thought it was hilarious.

Abbie has also discovered her feet - that she can hold them and get them into her mouth...yum! She's almost got the front to back rollover mastered but not just yet - she may be saving that for Dad.

We are really looking forward to Jeff coming home tomorrow night! We have missed him a lot.
