Abbie is 3 months old (as of the 23rd). She has grown and changed so much in the last month. She is approximately 24 inches and 12 lbs (my inacurate measruing). She started rolling back to front at 10 wks yet she can't get back so she is not always thrilled for long. She is very animated and loves to talk and smile at everyone. While this is good, it also means daytime sleep has become a challenge. She has taken to 30-40 min naps off and on throughout the day and it's hard to get her to go to sleep (I have recently heard these naps called snaps...kinda a funny play on words). She does great at night - she is in bed by 6:45/7pm. She wakes to eat about 2am and then again about 6:30am and usually isn't up for the day until about 8:00am. So she gets a lot of her sleep at night right now...but I wouldn't mind a nap that lasted a little longer. She loves Evan already and starts to look for him whenever she hears his voice and smiles. She's trying very hard to sit up - it's pretty funny to watch her try to do a sit up basically. She is an observer and always wants to face out and see everything and take it all in. (thus the snaps).
She has discovered "the baby in the mirror" as we say. She loves to hang out infront of a mirror and will literally talk and smile and laugh for 20 minutes. We have a little mirror on her carseat and it's hilarious to listen to her. Evan will say, "she's talking to her friend again" and laugh. Evan had the same mirror and always liked "the baby in the mirror" but not in the same way Abbie does. It's really sweet.
As for having 2 kids...well that has been another adventure all together. They are so fun together and definitly keep me on my toes...especially with no real breaks...
see Evan's update on that one!
