Feeding the Cows

Evan got the chance to feed the cows with Grandaddy and Jeff, he thought
it was great fun.

We stopped at Uncle Glenn's and Aunt Conny's on the way home to have "Christmas" with Amy's family (yes, we know it's February, but you do what you can). :)
Evan and Jeff enjoyed some time in the hammock before lunch.

I'm 8 months old!!

Evan is 8 months old now (and 1 day). I can't believe how time flies. He is sitting up like a champ, rolls and squirms for transportation and loves to stand up. I am not sure we are ready for true mobility but it's coming anyway. He continues to smile and laugh often and has the most wonderful facial expressions. He "talks" constantly and loves to play with sounds. We are having so much fun with him. As you can see, he really enjoys the computer and likes to visit dad each day after school. This day he actually got his own keyboard, he likes to type so much it's hard to get any work done. We can't wait to see what each day has in store for us all.

Watching the Game

Evan and Jeff watching the ISU vs Missouri basketball game. It didn't look good at first, however ISU pulled it out in the end with a great comeback. Check out the hat, he loves it!

Fall

Evan had his first "fall" that resulted in some blood when he face-planted a toy. He was a trooper and recovered well. Should we be worried at the early start? Thank goodness for frozen teethers, I am beginning to think they can fix anything.

Christmas in Iowa

We went to Iowa on the 27th for the Holck Christmas. We fly in and out of Omaha and stayed with our good friends there, Paul and Kari, it's always good to see them and their girls. Evan was great on the airplane and had a really good time in Iowa. He met many aunts and unlces, cousins and extended family at a large gathering and loved every minute of it. He had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa's in Spencer and even met daddy's childhood friend Brett, what a great trip.

Grandma and Grandpa's new RV. Evan got to take a tour and "Grandpa even said that when I'm old enough to go on a trip in there, I could fall asleep watching a DVD. I am not sure what a DVD is but it sounds fun."

My first driving lesson

Let's go!

Evan had a few Iowans in the family to meet for the first time...

Evan really like Jessie, and since she can't hear so well she wasn't afraid of his sreaming in excitement like the cats are.

Evan and his Great Grandma

I'll show you how to use this thing Great Grandma, just follow my lead.

First you grab and lean for a good angle....

Then open your mouth and go, doesn't that feel good?

Merry Christmas!

Oh boy! Big boy plates!

Evan's First Snow

We had to drive through a snow storm on our way back to Omaha to fly to return home. As you can see, Evan was enjoying his ride very much. Grandpa may not have had as much fun as he had to stop every 30 minutes or so to wipe off the frozen windshield wipers.
