During our stop in Amarillo we ate dinner at the Big Texan. Whether you are Texan by birth or not, everyone should go at least once in their lifetime. Jeff had not been before and I had not been since high school. Their big claim to fame is if you can eat a 72oz. steak, salad, shrimp cocktail, potatoes and all the fixins in under 1 hour - if you do, it's free. If not, it's $72 ($1 an ounce). Needless to say, we just ordered a regular dinner.
