Evan's Birthday Party

Evan's friends Jackson and Belle came to the party. Jackson is showing Evan how to use his new Peekaboo book that they gave him. Evan is a true book worm bringing me books to read to him all day, so he loved it.

Evan's friend Addison came with her mom and dad. Here she is making friends with Belle.

The Cake

Evan had a Curious George cupcake cake. As you can tell, he was very excited about it.

Sneaking a taste

Blowing out the candles
Ready to go!

Now this is how you eat cake!

A masterpiece!

Getting Cleaned Up

The dogs are circling...

Hosing him down...why not? He loves the water. I think this was his favorite part of his party.

The Presents and the End

Then it was time to open the presents....

Amy's Cousin Perry and his son George

The party is over, I've slept for about 2 1/2 hours and now it's time to head back home to Dallas. What a great trip!

Swimming

We took Evan in for his 1 year check up - he did great but had to get 4 shots - they hit every limb - 1 for each leg and each arm. From there we went to the pool to meet up with Granddaddy, Lela, Aunt Robyn, Uncle Peter and cousins Paige, Brayden and Wendi. Evan is truly a water lover and was even putting his face in the water some - maybe we should have named him Rowdy Gaines!
Wearing Granddaddy's sunglasses - aren't they handsome!?!

Evan has this cool "boat" that's mostly mesh so he can splash and blow bubbles and be mostly in the water. Brayden and Wendi can't wait to pull Evan around the pool.
Checking out the pool with Granddaddy
Floating on his back - getting a zerbet as well.
Born for the water!

Jeff and Evan

Jeff taking Evan down the slide. Evan loved it and we went again later.

Lela introduced Evan to Sour Cream and Onion potato chips - unfortunately he loved them! He started reaching into the bag all by himself - smart kid.

The "I'm really done" Look

Evan waves both hands when he's done, usually I try for another bite or two just to see. This time, yogurt. When he is really done, I get this look - eyes and face squished up and he kind of shakes his head. Thanks to my sister for getting this shot.
